The newsletter generator plugin allows the agency to build their weekly newsletter by dragging- and dropping recent posts into the appropriate sections of a flexible newsletter template using a simple, intuitive interface with live preview capabilities. After saving the newsletter structure, a single click submits the generated html to a preprocessor which prepares the newsletter content for distribution via email by updating the html structure and bringing all CSS styles inline to support viewing in major web-based email services.

The “Point of Contact” plugin allows the agency to maintain a public-facing database of member agencies, allowing visitors to find services for foster and probation youth using live filtering based on types of services provided, age range and locations served.

The “Event Manager” plugin allows the agency to generate a centralized collection of Foster Care-related events, searchable by date, time, and category.

The final plugin developed to date allows site editors to select featured content for display on the homepage, allowing the editor to target content to either the custom slideshow or the flow.

Integration with Facebook, Twitter and MySpace allows the Foster Youth Alliance to effortlessly reach out to the Foster Care community on a daily basis.
